A portrait of Simone Massi, “resistant animator”, who in the era of digital animation continues to create his films, photogram by photogram, digging into raw material to make the images emerge, with care and skill that reveal his farming origins. This documentary is a tribute to the artist and his tales, humble stories forgotten by history that speak of his land, his ancestors, and the ancient values of the mountains. Simone Massi tells his stories from the hills of the Marches, with a disenchanted reflection on the lost rural world, and with the memory of the events of the Resistance that took place up here.
Francesco Montagner
Born in 1989 in Treviso, he belongs to the association Fucina del Corago. After earning a degree in Economy and Management, he turned to cinema and theatre. In 2013 he began studies at FAMU International in Prague. He participates in the XXI Film Festival della Lessinia with Animata Resistenza.
Alberto Girotto
Born in 1989 in Treviso, he belongs to the association Fucina del Corago. After earning a diploma from the Libera Università del Cinema in Rome, directed music videos. He made the video of the poem Piccola Cucina Cannibale by Lello Voce, presented at various international festivals. He participates in the XXI Film Festival della Lessinia with the film Animata Resistenza.
