Spring 1895. The rich and arrogant Menàl, a dairy farmer by profession, reaches the Val Gerola with the hope of finding a woman. He always carries with him a large sum of money. A group of labourers devise a scheme to rob him. Involved in this plan is a woman whose role is to get close to him, propose herself as his wife, and facilitate the robbery. But the woman’s meeting with Menàl will turn the events toward an inevitable drama. Filmed entirely in Premana, the film is interpreted in the local dialect by actors from the town.
Stefano Tagliaferri
Born in 1978, he grew up in Pagnona, in Alta Valsassina. After high school he moved to Milan where he earned a diploma in photography from the Istituto Europeo di Design. Since 2009 he has worked in photography and photo retouching, while cultivating his passion for film and directing. In 2012 he self-produced his first film, Ora cammina con me.
