A strange, charming shepherd with a big nose, as ugly as he is sweet, seems condemned to a fate of loneliness and unsatisfied erotic desires. He is an explorer, or perhaps a keeper of the fragile ecosystem of Sumapaz Páramo, on the Altiplano Cundiboyacense, in Colombia. With great affection he takes care of his sick father and wanders through the wild meadows of the misty tundra, on the trail of the violation of a remote environment and virgin nature. He is terrified by the sirens of the policemen, the sudden bursts of activity in a large mine, and illegal trafficking. His sense of disorientation is great, as is that of marginalization. The sudden oneiric transpositions, inspired by surrealist language, exemplify the perceptions and desires of a man who aspires to escape, perhaps with a time and space machine, perhaps climbing an escalator that takes him to heaven, perhaps dressed in a beautiful pink dress.

An active and award-winning Colombian director, through his company Schweizen Media Group he stands as the Producer of his films and works, among which are The Shape of Now, DOK Leipzig Next Masters 2018; The Tower, IFFR Bright Future 2018; Karen Cries on the Bus, Berlinale Forum 2011. With Aniversario he won the National Cinema Award 2000-2005 granted by the Ministry of Culture of Colombia.
