ACCAMÒRA (IN QUESTO MOMENTO)

ACCAMÒRA (RIGHT NOW)

Emanuela Muzzupappa / Italy / 2020 / 11 min / Colour

One day in the rugged Calabrian countryside contains all the importance of a ritual that for Antonio represents a solid point of his existence: the harvest of figs. That place steeped in memories brings with it the echo of laughter and the melancholy of past moments. Also this year, together with his older brother, he will have to complete the harvesting of the fruits, but at the end of the day he will discover that it will not have been an occasion like the others. Accamòra - "in this moment" - tells the story of changes that come without warning and turn out to be permanent, when the haunted air of childhood is consumed with harshness. A tribute to memory and to the preservation of memories of past emotions.
