Rejsen til utopia

Journey to Utopia

Erlend E. Mo / Denmark, Norway, Sweden / 2019 / 88 min / Colour

The Mo family leads a quiet life on their farm in the Norwegian mountains, in a landscape isolated from the rest of the country.  In recent years, anxiety about the fate of a planet increasingly threatened by the climate crisis and pollution has continued to worry the parents, who are anxious about the fate of their children and future generations. The family decides to take action and move to "Permatopia": a community that produces organic agricultural products in a completely self-sufficient way, in Denmark. But will life in a community really be a viable path for the Mo family? The gaze of the director and father of the Mo family takes us to the heart of the contradictions and difficulties involved in choosing a more sustainable lifestyle that respects nature.
