Five players of different ages and from different regions recount the variegated world of the morra game in Sardinia. They play at university students’ parties offsite in Cagliari, at the internation- al tournament in Urzulei, in informal games amongst friends, and at the traditional town festivals. What emerges is a portrait of a game based on technical ability, wit, ethical norms, and be- havioral codes and understanding passed down over centuries: a game that is physicality, voice, and rhythm, but also honesty or the ability to cheat.
