I TEMPI FELICI VERRANNO PRESTO

HAPPY TIMES WILL COME SOON

Alessandro Comodin / France, Italy / 2016 / 102 min / Colour

Is Tommaso and Arturo's flight an escape? Have they found refuge in the forest? Or is the forest only a place to play? The game transforms into something else after they find a cadaver. In the same forest,  Ariane gets lost.  It seems that she, too, is escaping, or maybe searching for shelter. In the forest there is a wolf, and the inhabitants of those mountains experience the usual conflict of Man who rediscovers that he is part of Nature. Ariane digs a hole: searching for what? Maybe the two boys, making possible a bridge over time? Or maybe she is in search of the wolf, which she fears and desires? A dark, fascinating film that investigates our primordial instincts and ancestral fears.
