To reestablish a relationship of mutual understanding and complicity, a ten-year-old boy departs with his father on a long-promised voyage. The destination is the largest dyke in Europe, in the Swiss mountains. But the equilibrium between the two is only superficial, their relationship is not mature enough, and instead of reinforcing understanding between father and son, the trip marks a crack in their relationship.
Samuel Grandchamp
Born in Geneva, he was awarded a scholarship to study at at the NYU Tisch School of the Arts, and now devotes his time to making documentaries and short films. Le Barrage won the Golden Leopard for best short film at the Film Festival di Locarno, 2015.
