Azerbaijan is an ancient country, with its traditions, customs, and cultural heritage. This is a simple, yet harsh, story of daily life. A group of shepherds accompanies their flock of sheep from one meadow to the next in a long transhumance that lasts for many days and crosses the most treacherous terrain of the high plains. During this tremendous voyage they must face numerous difficulties and obstacles. Both the men and the animals are exhausted; some even risk death. But the shepherd’s job is to stay with the flock despite these hardships and to overcome all of the adversities in order to bring the animals to their destination, as their ancestors have always done in order to survive.
