HABITAT – NOTE PERSONALI

HABITAT – PERSONAL NOTES

/ 2014 / 55 min / Colour

A film about the city of L’Aquila after the earthquake, a catastrophic event that for many became a lasting, daily experience: a non-place that survives as an alienating space, without structure, without roots. For five years after the tragedy, Emiliano Dante documented his former tent mates, Alessio and Paolo. The former is a squatter who became a realtor, the latter was a property owner who, finding himself with nothing left to lease, devotes himself to painting. This is a personal look at the alienating reality of the C.A.S.E. project, a bleak narration of human and territorial displacement.
