BAMSE

BEAR

Michele Cirigliano, Bård Ivar Engelsås / Norway / 2014 / 17 min / Colour

The daily routine of a hunter, in the vast landscape of the hills of northern Europe, is interrupted by an unusual find in the snow: a red stuffed bear. Inexplicably attracted to the toy, the hunter takes it with him. Soon his routine begins to falter, interrupted by unusual presences that break his solitude: timber becomes scarce, prey are rare. The little bear was the harbinger of the arrival of a much more invasive reality.
