CHRIEG

WAR

/ 2014 / 110 min / Colour

Suffocated by an oppressive father, Matteo attempts a strange escape into the woods, taking his younger brother with him. To punish the youth, the family condemns him to three months of hard labour on a remote mountain farm. But this place offers something quite different from the possibility for re-education. The farmer that runs it has lost his mind. Matteo soon experiences humiliation, rebellion, and revenge, and will become involved in a war of violence and destruction against a world of adults that has stolen his innocence in the name of conformity. Among these adults, in the end, he will also find his father.
