Film has been the great passion of Martin Kaufmann’s life since 1957 when his father opened a movie theatre next to the family’s hotel in Nova Levante, in Val d’Ega, between the peaks of the Catinaccio and Latemar ranges. This passion led Kaufmann to found the Filmclub in Bolzano and to direct the Bozner Filmtage. This documentary accompanies him on a journey through memories of his native village, to “his” cinema in Via Streiter in Bolzano, and to many large international festivals like La Berlinale.
Edith Eisenstecken
Edith Eisenstecken was born in Bolzano in 1960. She studied at the DAMS in Bologna and the Hochschule für Fernsehen und
Film in Munich. She worked for RAI in Bolzano. Since 2002, she has been an independent producer.Evi Oberkofler
Evi Oberkofl er was born in Bolzano in 1972. She studied at the Hochschule für Fernsehen und Film in Munich and at the Central Saint Martins College of Art & Design in London. She has worked in the theatre and as a presenter for RAI, Bolzano.
