Somewhere in the provinces of Buenos Aires, the painter Nicolás Rubió lives with the memory of the city where he grew up, in Spain. He  was still a boy when his family was forced to flee from the Spanish Civil War to take refuge in a small village in France. After emigrating to Argentina, he searched for a way to relive the time spent in his village, painting it on his canvases and thus saving it from oblivion. But memories are labile and Nicolás tries to retrieve them with letters from his childhood, photographs, and many phone calls to old friends in which he discusses how many windows his childhood home had. In this way, from the solitude of a small room he revives the faraway world of his distant past.
