Peter is enamoured of Johannes, his best friend. On the day of the “Viehscheid”, the return of the livestock to town after the summer at pasture in the Allgäu Alps, the boys participate together in the traditional festivities. On this occasion, it seems clear that the two friends have in mind two different life choices. A film about friendship and the courage to seek one’s true fortune.
Christian Günzler
Born in 1986, he studied communications design, specializing in fi lm and video at the Merz Akademie in Stuttgart. Wenn die Kühe Glockentragen is his thesis fi lm and debut as author and director. In 2012 he began studying screenwriting at the Filmakademie Baden-Württemberg.
