A young boy disappears in a desert of ice. It is feared that he has fallen victim to wolves. A hunter goes out to look for him. On reaching the mountains, the hunter is faced with a decision that will change his relationship with the wilderness.
Marieka Walsh
A filmmaker and animator with training in the visual arts, she lives and works in Sidney. With The Hunter, in 2013 she won the AFI/AACTA Award for the best short ani- mated film. She recently directed and ani- mated a short film by Robert Connolly, The Turning, and is now at work on her next film, The Crossing, financed by Screen Australia.
