EMIGRAZIONE 68: L’ITALIA OLTRE CONFINE
EMIGRATION 68: ITALY BEYOND THE BORDER
Luigi Perelli / Italy / 1968 / 31 min / Black and white
A journey through the places of Italian emigration in the 1960s: factories, dormitories, mines. The documentary alternates scenes of life abroad with those from the homeland, marked by poverty and neglect. With texts by Dacia Maraini, it offers a clear-eyed and moving portrait of Italian forced to leave.
