After reading L’Anello Forte by Nuto Revelli and hearing the stories told by her Albanian friend Neta, Marzia Pellegrino decided to accompany her to Staike, her native village in the mountains north of Scutari. The situation there today for Albanian women is very similar to that experienced in the past by Italian women living in the mountains. This film offers a woman’s perspective on this world of women whose story is told for the first time.
