LEOGRA. EREDITÀ DI UN PAESAGGIO
LEOGRA. A LANDSCAPE'S HERITAGE

Italian premiere
Men and women, young and old, tell of the strong sense of belonging and the close relationship they have with their land, the Val Leogra, in the Vicentine Pre-Alps: a mountain where they were born, or where they decided to stay, or where they chose to come to live. Throughout the four seasons, which run from winter to summer, the testimonies of the elderly are compared with those of the new generations, the nostalgia of the old with the resourcefulness of the young, memories with reality, regrets for jobs, traditions and past agricultural customs with new eco-sustainable agriculture and farming projects. They bring together young and old, as in a passing of the baton, the deep bond with a land that has remained on the edge of the upheaval of mass tourism, which has remained genuine in its peasant origin, where in the houses the dialect is still spoken that even the "new mountaineers" want to learn.
