Surrounded by the mountains of Iran, Lake Urmia was once the largest in the Middle East. The hand of man has brought drought and the expanse of water is now an arid extension of salt, where memory and identity are trapped in suspended time.

    Daniel Asadi Faezi

    Daniel Asadi Faezi was born in Germany in 1993. He is currently studying documentary at the University of Television and Film in Munich. He shot three documentaries (Change your View, Koora / Trash and Arefi, the Shepherd) with which he participated in numerous international festivals. The Absence of Apricots was in competition at the Lessinia Film Festival in 2019.
