NELLA SVIZZERA ITALIANA

Piero Marelli / 0 / 8 min / Colour

Production Tiziano Film. Restored by Museo Nazionale del Cinema di Torino at Haghefilm laboratori from a positive tinted and toned print

The enchanting black and white images, tinted in various colours, tell of the tourist marvels of some Alpine localities on the border with Switzerland in the 1900s. Tourists, elegantly dressed, admire Lake Como from the top of the Brunate rack and the majestic snow-capped mountains from the Bernina Railway towards St. Moritz. The camera lingers on the glistening waterfalls and lakes, and on the majesty of the Alps, but also on the fascinating and powerful machines that make these modern divertissements possible.
