Haeberli

Haeberli

Moritz Mueller-Preisser / Germany / 2020 / 29 min / Colour

Adolf Haeberli no longer cleaned the house after his mother's death; even his personal hygiene leaves something to be desired, by current standards. Adolf loves order, but he is too focused on what really matters: writing letters upon letters, typing relentlessly on his rattling typewriter, surrounded by mountains of paper and newspapers. His is an endless battle with the municipal offices of his city, St. Moritz, and with his community, bewildered by the condition of Adolf's house, located right in the center of the respectable tourist town. Haeberli is the portrait of a free man and his right to assert his will in the city where he lives, in his own home, and in his own head.
