THE PRISON AS A BORDER: STUMBLES, FORCED PAUSES, AND CHALLENGES OVERCOME
Inside the Montorio Prison, the MicroCosmo association’s “The Mountain Within” project has gathered writings and testimonies from individuals whose lives have crossed every imaginable border—only to find themselves behind bars. Incarceration itself becomes yet another dividing line from society. Participants who are currently or formerly detained join Paola Tacchella (MicroCosmo project coordinator), Davide Sapienza (writer, journalist, and translator), and psychiatrist Giuseppe Saglio to share their experiences.

Katia Tenti
AND THEY WILL CALL YOU A WITCH
With her novel E ti chiameranno strega (And They Will Call You a Witch, Neri Pozza, 2024, ITAS Mountain Book Prize 2025), Katia Tenti takes us to 16th-century South Tyrol, when a fierce with hunt condemned dozens of innocent women to torture and the stake. Through the research of a young anthropologist, Arianna Miele, the author unites past and present, bringing the reader tales of lives that have long been unjustly forgotten. The author converses with Beatrice Azzolina.
