To follow the 64-year-old postman, Dolmar, in his rounds delivering the mail in places unreachable by car, is to take a trip through the life of the most isolated villages in the Himalayan valley of Spiti, on the border between India and China. By motorbike, by horse, or on foot, Dolmar travels more than thirty kilometers a day, helping the illiter- ate – who sign for their mail with a fingerprint – to read their letters.
