The Gruffalo

Jakob Schuh, Max Lang / 2009 / 27 min / Colour

Italian premiere

Based on a classic book by Julia Donaldson, The Gruffalo narrates the story of a mouse who wanders into the woods in search of a nut. Along the way, he encounters a fox, a serpent, and an owl, all three ready to eat him. To escape from these predators, the clever mouse tells them that he is waiting for his dear friend Gruffalo, a terrible monster, whose very name causes the animals to flee. The mouse can thus move about freely in the forest, since there is nothing left for him to fear. But suddenly he finds himself face to face with the terrible Gruffalo. Will he again succeed in escaping danger?
