Elnura Osmonalieva / Kyrgyzstan / 2015 / 14 min / Colour

Young Seide is the daughter of a poor family of livestock farmers in the snowy mountains of Kyrgyzstan. They lead a modest life, but Seide has found a true friend in her horse. However their peaceful existence is not destined to last long. The family cannot afford to send the girl to school, and is forced to accept a proposal of an arranged marriage. In a final attempt at rebellion against a destiny she has no part in choosing, and seeking to preserve as much as possible her memories of a happy childhood, Seide will try to give the liberty denied her to that which is closest to her.
